Avoid "Panic Peddling"

Recently we received a copy of a letter from another lender to one of our customers warning them in dire tones that "your mortgage will soon begin to adjust monthly!"

First, the mortgage in question won't see a rate or payment adjustment for two years. That's not "soon." Second, the adjustment would never be monthly.

Because of recent media about "risky mortgages," some lenders are playing a game of fear. Some mortgages may be risky in some circumstances. No mortgage is risky in every circumstance.
